Steph’s greatest accomplishment as a professional sailor has been winning the 2014 US Sailing Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year.

As a child, she grew up in Wisconsin, on Lake Beulah, sailing scows and dinghies starting at age 5. She fell in love with sailing and competing in Optimist and Laser Radial.

Steph attended Old Dominion University where she received two All-American sailing honors, 3 time team MVP, was the team captain and earned a degree in Finance.

After college Steph aimed to focus on sailing, specifically match racing. She and Maggie, along with Darby Smith, qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the women’s match racing class, they then went on form Epic Racing, competing in the WIM series.

Steph has won the US Women’s Match Racing championship twice, as helm and crew, as well as the open US Match Racing Championship as crew. She, as the skipper of Epic Racing, has won two bronze medals at the Women’s Match Race World Championship and placed first and second on the Women’s International Match Race Series (WIM Series). Steph is a World Champion in the Etchells class and has shown her diversity across classes by winning the Melges 20 Winter Series and placing in the top 5 in several major regattas in the J/70 class

Stephanie Roble was honored at the New York Yacht Club on February 26, 2015 for her outstanding sailing achievements in 2014.
